May 2016
1) I have completed training in mediating family and divorce conflicts. This is an area in which I am very interested, and I am eager to include it in my practice. I look forward to working with couples and families in an attempt to resolve family law issues outside of the courtroom setting.
2) I am in the process of registering for the Red Deer Collaborative Law practice group, and will soon be able to be hired as a collaborative family lawyer.
2) I will be adding a resources page to my website to assist people with legal information and links when representing themselves. There are so many great people, organizations, and websites out there that can help self-represented litigants, particularly in the area of family law (although I will attempt to include other areas of the law as well) and I hope to help direct people to some of that information. Keep checking back.
October 2015
I have completed my Certificate in Immigration: Laws, Policies, and Procedures from the University of British Columbia a Continuing Education department. Immigration legal services are currently very limited in Central Alberta and I am happy to now try to help fill that need. This is an exciting new addition to the services offered by Foster Legal Services, and I hope to start incorporating this area into my practice as word gets out!
Recognitions!!
I am so deeply honoured to be have been recently recognized by two different organizations:
In the Fall of 2014, I was named as the Unsung Hero by the Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Bar Association in their quarterly publication "Law Matters." Please check out Page 8 of the publication here
